Persons affected with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities are about 2% of our population. 

It is not an illness but a disability, like deafness or blindness, resulting in limited mental and physical abilities. These children remain a lifelong responsibility for their parents. The solution lies in making them self-reliant and independent through special education and vocational training.

Chetana Apangmati Vikas Sanstha has been working in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, consistently since 1986, providing free education and vocational training to all our special students. Our countless well-wishers and parents have been unconditionally supporting us in our mission.
