Our special student Kum. Shreya Narvekar has been selected for National Powerlifting Championship- Special Olympics 2025 under the guidance of Sou. Sharvari Pawar (coach). The competition will be held in New Delhi in the month of Sept. 2025.
Ministry of Culture's National Gallery of Modern Art & Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi had arranged Viksit Bharat 2047, Artist (Student) Ambassador.
We feel proud of our 19 Special students who painted and earned the participation certificates from Govt. of India as Artist Ambassadors.
Seva in Action (Bengaluru) and their associate NGOs conduct Quizabled Competition for Special Students with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Intellectually Disabled Junior and Senior, across India in 4 regional zones.
Chetana's total 10 special students had participated covering each category and could win upto 2nd level.
Special Olympics
Chetana has always considered sports as an important activity for emotional development of our Intellectual Disable Students. We have organized sports meets for the special schools from western Maharashtra working for Persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities on eight occasions so far. The teachers from these special schools were invited for a Special Olympics Preparatory Workshop.
Chetana has been an active participant in Special Olympics for the past 20+ years and our students have won several prizes and medals at the State, National and International level.
December 2013 two of our students Omkar Rane and prajakta Patil participated in Asia Pacific world games held in Australia.
Aashish Savekar was selected for floor hockey who participated in world winter games held in South Koria in January 2013.
Kedar Desai was selected for power lifting game in international Special Olympics held in Athens, Greece, in June 2011
We are proud to mention that our sports teacher, Shri. Sudhir More had coached the Indian football team that had participated in the International Special Olympics meet, held at Ireland in 2003,
It was a glorious moment for Chetana when our student, Amit Sutar, participated in the Indian football team at the 1999 Special Olympics at South Carolina, USA. He had returned with much enriched experience so that he could guide new students. Amit Sutar is now a part of Chetana's assisting staff in Jivanjyoti (Paper Mache) unit.
The 'super heroes' are made and shaped at Chetana Vikas for years after year.

2018-Zee Cine Award, after releasing 'Amhi Asu Ladake' movie our students have won 'Best Child Artist' to act in the movie
2017-'Amhi Asu Ladake' a movie released in theater, that was shot on our students and in school campus, on issues faced by special children & their parents.

Chetana's regular outing to teach students through experience
Socialization is an extremely important need of Persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. We regularly organize small trips to markets, gardens, spinning & sugar mills, banks, exhibitions, agricultural fields, historical places, tourist places, manufacturing plants, Industries, Foundries and newspaper printing press etc.
We had also organized long trips to Pune, Mumbai, Sindhudurg, Malvan, Hyderabad, Mysore, Bangalore and Rajasthan.
One of our most memorable trip was to New Delhi, where 25 students witnessed the Republic Day parade.
