Disha Abhiyan (undertaken by Government of Maharashtra) embeds pre-vocational training within its broader mission: promoting functional independence among students with intellectual disabilities.
Though the curriculum doesn’t detail each vocational subject explicitly, the integration of life skills and vocational readiness is central—structured through IEPs, progressive learning, and digital tracking.
The example training units (bakery, kitchen, crafts, etc.) from resource centers offer a practical model that schools under Disha could adapt based on student capabilities.
