Vocational Training: Prerana (Laser Cut & CNC )

Chetana's Vocational Training-Prerana group, has special students who make various day to day use wooden, MDF, Acrylic and foam products, under the guidance of their qualified and experienced teacher. 

We procure quality raw material, create a customized design and feed it to the laser cutting machine. The machine then completes the job on the given surface. which is the processed for each product.  These natural products are good for health for every age. We then pack these products in different packaging and apply standard product sticker and send these to Chetana Shoppee.

Laser cutting and CNC machines can open up many safe, creative, and vocational training opportunities for special students if used under teacher's supervision. Here’s a procedure and product ideas that we follow:

• Initially, we provide a basic orientation to all the students of the Prerana Group about how the laser cutter and CNC machine operate on different surfaces (cutting/engraving wood, acrylic, MDF, plastic, soft metal, etc.).

• We also make them understand these procedure through YouTube videos and live demos, followed by a Saftey Training that emphasises on always wearing a protective glasses & gloves and  never to touch the machine bed during operation.

• Our Teacher does the actual computer work, cutting, and prepares simple designs for students.

• Material Preparation

  • Select job appropriate material like MDF, plywood, acrylic sheets, cardboard, or soft wood.

  • Preferably use default size sheets of the materials, else cut the material in a required size sheets.

• Machine Operation

  • Students can observe while teacher sets up machine.

  • Certain special students can help placing the material, pressing the buttons under supervision.

• Finishing Work

  • Our Students take cut/engraved products and sand, paint, polish, assemble them into final items.

  • This stage gives them maximum hands-on involvement.
