Government of Maharashtra's Disha Abhiyan embeds pre-vocational training within its broader mission: promoting functional independence among students with intellectual disabilities.
The curriculum spans different age groups—3–14 years and 14–18 years—ensuring a continuum that naturally transitions into pre-vocational skill-building
Teaching Modules include life skills and pre-vocational training designed to prepare learners for independence and employability
Individualized framework is leveraged by IEPs and digital tracking through the DISHA web portal
Students start gaining confidence in independent living, performing skillful tasks, and improved participation in supported environments.
