Teachers & Staff

We at Chetana Vikas feel truly fortunate to have a team of dedicated, skilled, and experienced staff members. Their commitment helps us successfully overcome the many challenges we face in our day-to-day work. Each of our classrooms and vocational training units is effectively managed by experienced teachers along with their supportive staff, ensuring a nurturing and structured environment for every child.

Our students, too, share a deep bond with the school. They prefer being here rather than staying at home, as they feel closely connected to their class teachers and actively engage in learning and activities.

Over the years, Chetana Vikas has also become a recognized center in the Kolhapur district — a hub for educational activities, important meetings, and the implementation of best practices for Persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities that every special school should follow.

Our 'School Bus' Service

With the growing number of students, we have deployed two dedicated school buses on different routes for pick-up and drop-off.

One bus covers the Kolhapur city route, while the other travels nearly 40 km outside the city.

We charge a nominal fee, based on distance, to ensure that every student has the opportunity to attend school daily.

Both of our trusted and vigilant drivers go the extra mile to keep every child safe and comfortable during their journey.

For over 38 years, our devoted Rikshaw Mamas have ensured our special students reach school safely every day.
